Together, we can take our libraries from good to great!

This tagline was created by a former trustee of the Pioneer Library System and it perfectly ties together the work of we all do to financially support our libraries. One of the most time-honored ways hometown library Friends groups raise funds is through annual book sales. Donated books are sorted throughout the year and then organized for sale.

The Friends of the Norman Public Library hold their biggest sale each October when they raise thousands of dollars. This year’s sale began Oct. 16 and concluded Monday with the popular bag sale.
It takes a lot of work to organize and we thank the Norman Friends for their commitment to our community. Funds raised help pay for library programs, staff scholarships and other needs as they arise throughout the year. Working together, local Friends groups and the Library Foundation help take our libraries from good to great!
